A picture is worth 1000 words

I try my best to paint a picture with each of my blogs. Cell phones is made it easy to share photos. It really makes me wonder what they did before Cameras and YouTube. Can you imagine writing a letter back in the 1800s explaining how to do one thing or another? I am assuming people learned by trial and error and I'm sure many mistakes were made learning. I know that's how I learned even with my dad showing me and telling me every step of the way. When I was a kid, it was always implied that men do not need instructions or directions. I believe that I personally learned that from watching home improvement with Tim Allen, the host of tool time. He never read the directions on anything, and nothing ever had enough power. And with a big, manly grunt, he would turn on his overpowered masterpieces and destruction would take place. Which leads me to my point a picture is worth 1000 words, I spent a lot of time as a child, watching television, especially TV land Learning jokes, and what other families are like. How awesome would it have been if I could have been the fourth boy on the Brady Bunch? Or if I could've been stranded on Gilligans Island with Ginger? Even now as an adult, I find myself watching Ron Pratt or Jamie Davis. I gained a lot of inspiration from watching these guys and their techniques, and I use them in my business. You see I advertise that I am WreckMaster train and certified but in those days my best advertisement would have been "seen on TV." we give away so much information and education in our photos and social medias. It's also ironic in a way because we use our photos to be paid by our motor clubs. Providers have found that if they take a picture of their endless loops and snatch blocks that the motor clubs will approve additional monies on each. Those photos are then put on social media for the world to see and learn from, often spreading misinformation. Or maybe it's a company that is very educated who wants to show off this extraordinary job that they just performed. With the skills and that they spent thousands on in classes like WreckMaster. If we go to a magician show and watch the magician perform a trick, could we expect to go home and try to perform the tricks successfully without any training or knowledge behind the illusion? It happens every day. Let's be mindful about the information. We are putting out into the world. Let's be mindful that our pictures can make us money as well as cost others money. Maybe even their life. There are cameras everywhere and someone is always watching. How are we presenting ourselves with our photos? I wrote this blog because social media is such an influencing tool used in today's society that we feel the need to share everything we do with photos and video was that regard to how safe it was. So next time you see someone who has posted pictures from a job or a huge recovery inspect them see if you can learn anything because if you're learning from someone else who doesn't know, then you will not know either. And if you are not the student, then are you equipped and educated enough to be the teacher? Reevaluate your training program, is it something you're getting for free off of a group of all or do you have someone that has science numbers, geometry, and formulas to stay within the parameters of the equipment saving you thousands on equipment, maintenance parts and embarrassment. One thing, if you hang around here long, you will find out is that I am all about education and training. Encourage you to do the same.
